Limit overproduction

We care for the environment and the footprint we are leaving.
Overproduction is so negative for the environment that one of our main focuses is that we only produce limited quantities of the seasonal styles.

Certifications

To ensure that our values are met, we choose our suppliers based on shared values, high quality, good workmanship and on trustworthy working conditions for employees and all involved.
Which is why certifications are very central to the ethics of CCDK as they ensure that the working conditions and environmental practices of our suppliers live up to our ethical standards. We prefer suppliers with BSCI certification, but we also accept SA8000, WRAP and Sedex certification.
We are members of BSCI, and we have colleagues working in China and Bangladesh to ensure that all requirements are met at the production sites, and we love to visit them ourselves as well.
Partner certifications
Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)
BSCI brings together over 1,500 retailers, importers, brands and national associations to improve the political and legal framework for trade in a sustainable way. BSCI support more than 1,500 FTA member companies to integrate social compliance at the heart of their global supply chains.
Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA)
SMETA is a social auditing methodology, enabling businesses to assess their sites and suppliers to understand working conditions in their supply chain. Sedex focuses on four pillars. Members commit to improving their supply chain performance accordingly: Labour Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Integrity.
Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemical substances (REACH)
All our suppliers abide by the rules of REACH, which is a ministerial decree from the EU Commission. The purpose is to ensure that no harmful chemicals are used either in the production or in the material. We check regularly, using Bureau Veritas.
Social Accountability International: SA8000
SA8000 is a certification which ensures that organisations develop, maintain, and apply socially responsible practices in the workplacein accordance with all national and international labor laws. SA8000 ensures the payment of a livable wage for workers. There are zero tolerance policies on discrimination, child labor, or forced labor of any sort. To receive and maintain certification, suppliers are required to be audited at least twice every three years.
Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production (WRAP)
WRAP is a social compliance certification that ensures safe and lawful manufacturing in the apparel and footwear industries. The certification is based on 12 principles which make sure manufactured products are produced under lawful, humane and ethical conditions. The WRAP certificate requires that suppliers get audited once a year to evaluate their compliance with the twelve principles.
